Hi, I’m Daniela.
Originally from the Midwest, I fell in love with the mountains the first time I saw them and have been in Asheville for over twelve years. I came to this work after a career as an academic translator and as a lifelong worker in the food service industry.
I like to joke that, strangely enough, these two experiences were ideal preparation for becoming a therapist, since all three involve helping people discover and find the words for what they want, and want to say.
My goal in my work is to create a space that can allow my clients to step out of engrained patterns of thinking, feeling, believing, doing, and moving that no longer serve them. I tend to bring a blend of sincerity and levity to everything I do, and am convinced that the work of therapy is so important, we’d actually better not take it too seriously!
